Finding the right mirror size and position

1. Above a Console Table (Hallway)

The mirror should relate to the width of the table below it to create a balanced “unit.”

• The Rule: The mirror should be 50% to 75% of the width of the console table.
• Klarity Recommendation: If you have a 120cm Bridge Console, a round mirror like the 70cm – 90cm Visual Mirror works perfectly. It breaks up the straight lines of the glass table without “overhanging” the edges.

2. Above a Sofa (Living Room)

This is usually a focal point, so you can go larger here.

• The Rule: Aim for a mirror that is two-thirds to three-quarters the width of the sofa.
• Placement Height: Hang the bottom of the mirror frame about 15cm – 20cm above the top of the sofa back.

3. Full-Length “Leaning” Mirrors (Bedroom/Dressing Room)

These are designed to sit on the floor and lean against the wall for a relaxed, boutique-hotel feel.

• The Rule: The mirror should be at least 160cm tall to allow a full-body view.

Quick Measurement Checklist:

1. Measure the furniture width (Sofa or Console).
2. Check the “Eye Level”: The centre of the mirror should be roughly 150cm from the floor (average eye level).
3. Check for Reflections: Stand where the mirror will go. Does it reflect a window (good for light) or a cluttered shelf (bad for aesthetics)?
